Post Tim Burton's 'Planet of the Apes' - BD+DVD Release

Thought I'd make a quick thread about this since it seems there is none.
I found that this release is coming: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Plane...Blu-ray/10308/

I guess it's safe to say it's another one of those existing BD-releases with an added "bonus"-DVD?

I don't know if it's just me, but it seems kind of silly...
I mean, the BD apparently doesn't have very good video-quality,
and since it's a good three years old already, they might as well have come out with a new one.
There's probably not that much incentive for the studio(s),
as it's not that widely popular, but still, would have been better.

Greetings...

Whatever was their reason for doing this release once again, I won't be purchasing it once again

Yeah, it's kinda weird-looking, especially if you got used to BD-sized cases.

But, on the same thing, someone mentioned a good point in the other thread though.
That... for the regular consumer it might be a nice set to eventually move to BD.
I mean, many people might see it as a DVD with a BD thrown in, that's what it seems to be advertised as.
And it will be like a sampler, or something, that when they try the BD on a BD-player they'll be sold.
It's like this incentive as in "OK, I have a Blu-ray, might as well give it a try if I can find a good deal on a player.".
Or something like that, you know.
So I guess it's kinda useless to us... maybe for someone who got bored with BDs and renew their interest. lol

Yeah, just another thread crapping cyberfascist

I really like the movie, but never got the blu ray though - transfer quality sounds pretty sour

Like me, nothing better to do than troll on the internet, throwing out pointless info for everyone to comment on.

Liked the film but it says on the box 2 great formats. What is so great about DVD now that it has been proven you get a better deal with Blu.

Boredom... I had high hopes when this came out in theaters and left wondering where the last two hours had gone and if it was all a bad dream... sadly, it was real. Terrible movie, a blight on Tim Burton's career.
