Question Need help with firmware update

I have a Samsung bd-p1000 Blue-Ray player and I cant figure out how to update my firmware without puting it on a disk first and I don't have or want the software needed to write it. Is there any way that I can update it? Also I don't know where to go or how to request the disk from Samsung.

Seeing as this player doesn't have an ethernet port, the only way to update the firmware is by disc. I would contact Samsung for a copy of the latest firmware for your player (v 1.9). If you want to try it yourself, you will need a program that can burn an ISO image to a cd. It's a fairly simple process if you have the right program. There are free ones out there, also.

Edit: ImgBurn software and Firmware 1.9
