I'm curious... is Blu-ray just an HD version of a DVD? Because currently, I can watch HD movies with Comcast On-Demand, thru my HD-DVR and I'm wondering if I buy a Blu-ray player and Blu-ray discs, am I getting the same picture I already see on my HDTV?
Same goes for HD prime time TV shows. Is a Blu-ray dvd going to give me better quality than HD prime time? Just curious... I'm a Blu-ray virgin and looking to upgrade for movies, but if I'm already seeing the best quality on my HDTV and HD-DVR, then what is so special about Blu-ray? I know my DVD's are not HD, but once again... am I already seeing a Blu-ray image compared to regular HDTV? |
