Default what about a blu ray dvr

i was just wondering how nice it would be to have a combo blu ray dvr. then dish network, direct tv, and comcrap could offer it like they do now for a monthly charge. that gets far more blu saturation in the market, gets the disc rental and sales side going and does away with the only advantage hd-dvd has right now and that is the per unit cost. lets get creative. who else has some ideas ?

Well, it looks like Sony is way ahead of you with the PS/3, at least in Europe.

i was thinking about a unit for rent like the dvr i have now from dish network. 5 bucks a month for the unit and dvr service. i feel the masses would go more for a small increase in their monthly bill then spend up front just to own the unit.
