Default Toshiba 40RV525U Review

Well, I bought this TV on Black Friday so I've had some time to mess around with it and get a good feel. BTW, the TV is now $50 cheaper at BB at $749.99 so I went last night and got my $50 back!

Equipment used with it:

HD Cable(Component)
PS3(HDMI)
Xbox360(Component)

The TV itself:
For the price i'd say it's a nice TV. I'm right at the edge of 5' away but it's a vast improvement over my 32" 720p Philips. refresh is only 60Hz with 8ms lag so that kind of sucks. I've messed around with the setting a bit and I'm very happy with the picture. The black levels are suprisingly good, alot darker than I expected.

HD Cable:
Motion blur is very noticable in this unit. There's a choice between using dynamic contrast and getting pixels everywhere during action scenes for cable or not using it and dealign with motion blur. I'd rather deal with the blur.

PS3:
No complaints whatsoever. It even accepted the 1080p24 signal. No issues.

Xbox360:
You can feel the 8ms in FPS games. Also when playing video files from the 360 the audio seems to be lagging just a tad. Might be the files though

All in all a great set. I'm happy with my purchase but next time I want to go 50"+. Anyone else have this set?
