Question The Matrix

When are they going to release the movies separately. All I want is the first film.

The original Matrix will be released as a Digibook sometime in the first half of 2009. No release date has been set, but the digibook has been advertised in other Warner Bros. releases.

It's available for pre-order from Amazon.co.uk at the moment if you care to import it. Release date is 3/23/09. If the current exchange rate were to remain the same, it would be approx. $20 shipped.

I can't wait for the original. I'll probably end up buying all three, but I have no interest in the extra two discs in the box set. Plus, aren't the Blu-Ray boxes ultra thin?

I own all three and you really are missing out if you don't watch the Highway scene in part 2 or the final battle in part 3.

They really do rock.

The Chateau fight scene in Reloaded "rocks" also. It is one of my favorite fight scenes in the whole trilogy.

I think you'd be missing the fifth disc from the Ultimate boxset which just has loads of extras. If you're not into extras, you should go for the European release.

And in France (or at least on FNAC.com) you can order each movie separately for 25€.

I bought The Matrix at Blockbuser in Taipei for 30us$. Just the first movie. Happier than a pig in it's own filth. Seen it at the jsdvdmall website link here http://mall.jsdvd.com/product_info.p...ducts_id=17289

Don't care for boxed sets. What happens when and if Indiana Jones comes out only in 4 movie boxed set or worse Star Wars in a 6 movie set? I have to buy it and get the garbage wih the ones I'm dying for.

I love all three too, but the highway scene is one of the worst parts of the trilogy. The final battle was too quick, but the overall story is what I actually love. I do think it would have been better as one four hour epic. It seemed too much(to me anyway)that they wanted to make a trilogy so bad that they had to add filler.

highway and rave scene - too long
end battle and train station scenes - too short

Although, I am in no way knocking the trilogy.

The extras on that disc are really not worth it, whether you're into extras or not.

Seems your prayers have been answered. The 10th anniversary edition of Matrix has been announced on the front blu-ray.com page.
