Ok, Well I figured since this forum is a blu-ray forum you probably know something about these bonus disks huh?
Not to get off on the wrong foot or anything but today has just got me annoyed with this bonus disk included with the hancock blu-ray. So I was wondering anyone here know how to get this bonus disk to work again? By again I mean it was fine copying over to wmv (Which copying it to encrypted wmv really screwed me up as I used linux and it really does not like that whole encrypted wmv idea so does not actually work. So I'll have to decrypt that at some point just to use it.) So I figured since it doesn't even work on my pc. I'd use there utility to copy it to psp (1003).. yup no problem wait a minute nope error. can't do it. (0x8004a507) What does this error mean? Oh and yes. I had all this going on inside a windows XP pro virtual machine running under Linux (Fedora 10). So then I tried again error.. and again... error... so I go clear out all the temp files, all the history etc, reload the exe and boom invalid licence.. great.. and so i'm now stuck at this.. Before the funny people get here: Yes I restarted the virtual machine, yes I ejected and injected the DVD. So is there anyway what so ever to get passed this stupid licence, and error? without me having to break it? Is there some kind of way to contact sony about this, and ask for a re-licence? I have proof of purchase if needed. (Yes I used google apparently if it was Disney I would send it back to Disney they give a new code for the licence) PS: I already watched the film on my 60GB PS3 with the blu-ray. Good film (Though I watched the uncut version.. But then I watched silent hill and the thing and then the hills have eyes 1 and 2 (all blu) xD) Also: Sorry for the little bit of a rant, needed to steam a bit. -- Anyone know how to get this sorted? and thanks to anyone who replys. |

Maybe it's some sort of copy protection tech.
It probably doesn't want you to copy the file more than once. Have you tried to convert the Media file directly off the disc with video conversion software? |

Directly converting the media file ends up with a currupt mp4 file. I did happen to notice that it also has actual DVD files, meaning it probably could be used to play the movie like a DVD. so I'm going to try that out, and see if I can use it that way (Copy the movie to mp4 etc) I'll report back if it works or not.
Edit: Nope, appears to be ad's, never mind. I'll have to do this the not so legit way, which is basically remove all the copyright don't copy don't use on more than one computer stuff from the WMV, convert it to a different format so it's usable on PC then convert it to mp4 for psp. Sorry for any bother I may have caused. Last edited by the_unknown; 01-01-2009 at 07:11 AM. |

For future reference, the only 2 supported digital formats as of now are WMV (play for sure) and iPod (Apple) devices. Only supported OS' are Windows and OS X.
Linux or any deviation there of, along with support for the PSP - does not exist. |

The messed up thing is that when I put my digital copy of The Dark Knight into Itunes it asked me to log into the apple account and you had to go through some kind of purchase (which came out to $0.00), however after this finished I got a message that said something like you have now registered this movie on 3 out of 5 !!! This was the first time I put the disc in! WTH?!
