Onkyo TX-SR606 video problem

Has anyone seen this problem before on the 606? It is intermittent and sometimes happens frequently (3 times a minute) and sometimes doesn't happen very often (all night, for instance). With Cable/Sat selected, the screen on my LG 37 will flicker, then go blank with 'no signal' then 'invalid format' and then come back on. If I plug the cable box directly into the TV, there is no signal dropout like this. These are my options once I get home from work I figure:

1) Check the Hardware Setup->HDMI settings on the 606, make sure it is set to 'Through'.
2) Swap the HDMI cables around from my other components (I have stupidly cheap cables).
3) Use the other HDMI port on my TV.
4) Upgrade to the Denon AVR-789

Any other suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-

I have my Cable/Sat ran with component because the receiver won't do a DVI to HDMI cable. I've never had the issue you're describing though.

I swapped the cables around and fortunately it seems to have solved the problem, so I must have a bad cable since I reseated them earlier. I've always subscribed to the golden rule that "you get what you pay for" and in this case it taught me a valuable lesson since I paid $1.50/ea . Monoprice here I come

Awww, man, Monoprice is sold out of HDMI cables. I had to go with Blue Jeans cables. Anyone have experience with these cables? Please let me know if so...

Blue Jeans cable is just as good as Monoprice. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them as long as the price is acceptable.
