Default Make your sub bounce?

I was having fun with some bass tests on youtube, like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylCji8rf7VI, and I only have it at about -10dB and the whole room vibrates. I was reading some various comments about subs bouncing, stuff falling off shelves/tables, etc. from people turning their subs extremely high. I was just wondering how that's possible when my sub is blaring at -10dB? Can I turn it to about 30dB without blowing my sub out? I want some stuff to fall out of the shelves.

Do you mean +30DB on your 805? I don't think it goes that high but even if it does, not only will your hearing be permanently damaged, you may risk damaging the amps in your receiver, destroying your speakers, and blowing your sub at that level. Instead, turn the sub up on your receiver and play the tone again. The sub does have its limits and you can tell you're pushing it once it stops getting louder and starts sounding dirty.

It doesn't matter how low your sub is. At a certain low frequency which is close to the room resonance frequency, the entire room begins to act like a big subwoofer and vibrates. It feels like a real earthquake.
