What are you favorite films that take place in your home town? I'm from New York so my choices are,... well huge! See if you can find a favorite film from your old stomping grounds.

My selection is "Manhattan" (1979) One of my favorite Woody Allen classics.

The only major motion picture filmed in Greenville was Leatherheads, but that movie kinda stunk. Parts of Radio were filmed nearby as the events that movie was based on took place here in the Upstate. As far as other films filmed in South Carolina there are many, but my favorites are The Patriot and Forrest Gump.

I live in Saylorsburg, PA. Only one film was shot in my town, The Lottery. I was in it.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0997073/

Next to my work Transformers 2 was filmed. That was cool.

Well coming from a small town in Connecticut, it's highly unlikely that anything of significance has ever been filmed here. Mystic Pizza was filmed in Mystic about 10 minutes away.

A cool thing about the new Indy movie though... the train scene where Indy meets Mutt was filmed right next to an industrial park where I used to work, in Centerbrook. As soon as they began filming, they drew so much power, that the entire industrial park was out for hours. The only thing we could do was walk to where the filming was done, and watch. Of course we didn't see much, but it was just cool knowing that a major film was being filmed in this small New England town.

But are they not good? If they suck then don't come in, right? I mean come on no offense but really there is no need for negitive comments that are unjustified.

Garden State was filmed and takes place close to where I live and in the town where I work.

The Wrestler is very nearby as well though no quite my house.

A friend of mine lives about 10 minutes from the house they used in The Sopranos, and the pizza place they show in the intro (pizzaland) is literally 3 blocks from where I sit right now. though that's not really exciting

love Jersey
