Who got the Wicker Man (1975 or 2006)? Someone explain it to me? Please...

The first one is about a real cult that existed. I think it's fascinating.

The second is a joke. It's not at all serious or based on something real.

I'm not sure what there is to "get" about the original version. It's a neat atmospheric film with an interesting soundtrack and a tense and amazing ending.

The remake is a pointless and disjointed mess, where the original spirit and themes were cast aside so Neil LaBute could again apparently broadcast his fear of women.

I got the remake... didn't pay for it though, thankfully. I had to review it. I can honestly say that in the hundreds of reviews that I have written, it is easily in the top 3 that I most enjoyed tearing to shreds.

I cannot wait for the original 1973 version to come out on blu ray! It is a masterpiece of the horror genre! I saw an HD version of this on On-Demand about a year ago and it looked brilliant!

The remake is an abomination of cinema and should never be spoken of again!
