My 46PZ85u arrived today. - Blu-ray Forum

YAY!!!!

I got my 46PZ85u today. I ordered it last friday from Amazon and today was the earliest delivery appointment time they had available.

The delivery company was great. The two guys brought it in, unpacked it, assembled the stand, set it up, and tested it before leaving. They even picked up all the trash and put it in the box. They were friendly and I was very surprised at how professional they were about everything. They obviously do a lot of these because they were in and out in about 20 minutes.

I haven't watched anything on the tv yet but I did play around with the menu for a few minutes and stuck in my SD card with the break in images and let them cycle through for a while. Turning that thing to "vivid" mode on those images is insane. It is so bright that I don't see how anyone could stand to watch anything on that setting.

I did see that I have one green pixel out but at my normal viewing distance of around 12 feet, you can't see it. I had to get within about 7 feet to see it. I imagine on normal content, it won't even be visible at that distance.

I agree that the speaker "pod" does look kind of weird in the pictures but looks great in person. It fits the design very well.

I'm looking forward to watching some stuff on it but I'm not sure when I will be able to. The wife and I have plans almost all weekend but I do have to get it all hooked up before the Daytona 500 starts on Sunday.

jw Im switching to pani for my bedroom set but am waiting until the new ones come out and then pick up the current version for a good price(knowing my luck ill pay 1000 and then it'll be 799) buttttt....

did you have to pay extra for the amazon delivery guys to do that? cuz I can save alot if I buy thru them and if they on top of that set it all up that would rock

I didn't pay anything extra for it. Amazon's "white glove" delivery was included free since I purchased it from Amazon and not one of their 3rd party merchants.

I paid $1099.98 for it. I missed out on the $1049.98 price that they had earlier last week, but I've been checking prices since and they only seem to be going up. I'm sure they'll come down again once the next models come out though.
