Is Underworld Evolution worth a blind buy? - Blu-ray Forum

Target seems to have this on sale tomorrow for $14.99 + I have the 3.00 off Sony Blu Ray Coupon(it's gonna expire on a few days!) and a 5.00 Target giftcard making it $7.74 after Uncle Sam's share,is this film as good as the 2003 original which I own on Blu and do like quite a lot! I've heard it's not quite as good as the original but for that price it seems like a hell of a deal for a Blu,should i get it or leave it on the shelf?

Somebody said trilogy,I beleive there's only two films,at least on the superior format?(I MEAN BLU OF COURSE!)

I'm a big fan as well (obvious by my avatar of course), but I would still say yes. It may or may not be quite as good as the original (I can't really decide), but I still enjoy it and thought it was a good sequel. Also, it looks and sounds good on Blu-Ray. If you enjoyed the first one, I would say it's a no-brainer.

Just a little addition... Yes, it is a trilogy now with Rise of the Lycans out in theaters, but only the first two are on BD so far.

Thanks for asking this question. I have a Target gift card with about $8.00 on it still, and I have been meaning to use it. I was planning on waiting for the eventual Trilogy Pack when Rise of the Lycans comes out, but I'll pick up Underworld Evolution at that price.

And I liked both films as well. The second one was not as good as the first, but it was a pretty good sequel none the less. And Kate showing some skin in high-def., that's good enuff for me.

If you liked the first one I would say yes as they they are both on the same level. Personally I found them to be mediocre at best. Might consider adding them when prices start to drop on BD's and I can find them for around $10.00 at the most.

Hell yea, the pq is outstanding on Evolution and it is definitely on par with the original, picking up right where the first left off. The soundtracks are great also.

If your a fan of Vampire and Action Films then Yes it's a Sure Buy IMO.

I also own both and plan to get the 3rd one when it's out.
