Default For $1000 could i worm my way into separates?

So im waiting for the credit back on my 806 still but once that arrives ill be set to get another, but i was thinking about the whole seperates route. for $1000 is there any combination of a pre-amp/amp (emotiva seems to be the most resonable cost for my price bracket) or a cheap reciever with preouts and an emotiva.

I was thinking any way really, like maybe just getting a 2 channel emotiva for my Fronts since i listen to alot of mustic mostly and then let my reciever drive the rest for movies? UPA-2 is 125x2 would be decent for my monitor 70's? but im guessing i would lose the ability to bi-amp them

UPA-7 is 140x5 (i only have a 5.1 setup) and its $600 but that would only leave me $400 to find a preamp or cheap reciever

$1000 is really all i have right now so what do ya think is the best route i can go for now, even if it meant getting the upa-7 and a cheap reciever for now and then upgrading to a good pre-amp later.

And after seeing how way off some power ratings of recievers can be, im assuming (i hope) the power ratings from emotiva are true and arent BS?
