Quantum of Solace blu-ray review

Right from the first seen the movie grabbed with the audio on the blu-ray, the chase seen at the beginning was amazing. This was the first time i have seen this movie and was not disappointed, the video was what you would expect from a new release but the audio i thought is the real star of this blu-ray. With tons of extras this movie should keep you entertained for a long time.

As for the new Bond movies, i love the direction they are taking the franchise, going more towards the Bourne flicks and further away from the original films. I'm not saying the older Bond movies are bad it's just they needed to updated with more action and a better story, IMO Daniel Craig is the best Bond since Sean Connery.

Some parts of this movie dragged just a little and the Bond girls where nothing to get excited about but over all a great movie, i can't wait to see what Bond will do in future movies. if you haven't seen Quantum Of Solace watch Casino Royal first, QoS picks up minuets after Casino and will help you understand the plot more. If your a Bond fan this is a must own on blu-ray.

I didn't care for this one as much as Casino Royale. But I will still go out and buy it on Blu when it can be had for a decent price. It's nice to hear this Blu will be as nice as CR PQ and AQ wise.

Extras 4.5!? Can you please explain why such a high score? I'm not doubting your review, but I thought they skimped on the extras on this release, only having like an hours worth? (P.S. FYI, I love extras, so the more there are, the better.)

I have found lately new movies only have a few extras and they are not worth watching, i found the extra content on this disc actually interesting and for me made me enjoy and rethink some of the scenes in the movie, 1 hour or more of extras on a single disc deserves to get a good score IMO.

Good point. What's the extra with Marc Forster like? Does he shed any info on Bond 23 at all?

Am I the only one who isn't crazy about the cover art? I think they could've done a better job.

It matches the original Casino Royale style though with that silver metallic look.

Yeah i agree nothing special but it does match CR.

there's a lot of things i did'nt like about qos and the move toward the bourne flick is not my idea of a good bond movie. bond is bond because he get rid off of the bad guys with style a vodka-martini in one hand and a girl in the other.
i'm a bond fan and this movie is not a must-have for me.

I thought it was a good movie and I cant wait for it to come out.
