NetFlix Online Viewer: Lagginess - Blu-ray Forum

Hello all,

I just started using the Netflix online viewing service and have noticed a great deal of lagginess when i play movies. Is this the norm? I have a good connection (cable/Roadrunner) so it shouldn't be the issue. Should I wait to let the movie completely load before watching...?

anyone else have this issue?

My guess is it's a computer issue. I've got a semi-modern, but not top of the line by any stretch, Dell SX260 with a 2.4GHz P4 and only 512MB RAM. My Netflix plays perfectly on my minimal DSL connection (384Kbps - 1.5Mbps). If you're on cable internet, that should be no problem at all, as you're probably up in the 3.0Mbps+ range.

Only online issues I have with them are on my Xbox 360. I assume that this has to do with being wireless and not being able to get the best overall connection. Though at work I am also wireless and, Netflix runs pretty much continuosly and, I rarely ever have issues. Occasionally there are bad moments or the annoying sound not matching up to the video but, again that is rare. Like the previous poster, my guess is it has to do with your connection and speed.
