Default onkyo 606 Subwoofer Blu-Ray playing issue

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to put this, but I am a little perplexed on the issue I am having. I have the Onkyo 606 hooked up with the 5.1 setup. I have the Panasonic BD-30 Blu-Ray player. I have my audio hooked up with an HDMI cable. Now for the issue. At times when I turn on my Blu-Ray player and my receiver and I pop in a disc, at times the only thing that you hear is the bass. Now if I fast forward the disc for a second the normal 5.1 sound comes back. Has anyone ever ran into this issue before and if so how did you correct it?
It's only happened on 2 Blu-Ray discs. Quarantine and Punisher War Zone. I put in a standard dvd in and it didn't do it.

initially thinking something is suspect with your receiver. So, your running player, to receiver, to tv all with HDMI? How long is your HDMI cable? Why type of cable is it? What is your player set to for audio output? What is your receiver showing when playing back HD audio source? Is this the same type of HD audio your getting the problem with?(DTS or TrueHD). Let's start there.

just going off what you said, just double check your wiring to make sure cables arent loose, try (just for the heck of it) using a different HDMI cable from your BD player to your receiver if you have one you can swap out

Seems more like a decoding issue of the audio extraction from the disk by the player, update firmware, if not that then change cable, if not that try alternate device on same hdmi port to see if the port has issues.
