Default Riser so I can see the TV over my huge CS1?

I recently upgraded to a CS1 center channel speaker. The problem I have is the speaker is 7" tall while the clearance from the stand to the bottom of the TV screen is only 6" tall. This would be a 1" overlap if I were watching straight on, but I'm actually below it when seated, meaning the overlap is even more. I can't mount it over the TV and with the DVR, PS3 and Onkyo there's no room for it below.

Possible solutions:

1.) Buy a new TV stand. I can't do this right now. My stand, coffee table, two end tables and couch are a matching set. So to sell one I'd have to sell them all and, thanks to the cost of the upgrade I can't afford to do all that.

2.) Mount the TV on the wall. Not an option in my current living space.

3.) Put the TV on a riser of some sort. Ideally it would be not much larger than the base of my TV, something like 28"x14"x3". The problem is I live in a condo, so I don't have the tools or the workspace to build such a platform.

Do you guys have any ideas or a solution to my problem?

Go brouse thruogh some stores & look for something you can use to raise the tv up with !! Home depot will cut the wood for you I think to make something !

I don't see why you cant just change out the tv stand. Find something in a similar color or style so it won't look too out of place. No biggie.

I should clarify. My concern isn't about matching furniture, but rather about selling it. It's that I think I'd get a better resale if I sold it all together as a matching set. Or perhaps it's just firewood. Anyway, the upgrade tapped me out, so the cheapskate in me is looking for a low-cost solution.

before I got my TV stand I just put two pieces of mdf under the tv, although I had to cut it. If you really can't get some wood and cut it, just go buy one of those cheap $20 stands or book shelves at walmart and use the wood from that and stack it.

Had the EXACT same problem and I built my own 4" tall riser for my tv, out of ply wood and made a couple supports and put a piece of crown molding on the front. Then spray painted the whole thing black. Looks nice, and unnoticeable. I will post pics in a min. It cost me $6 including paint. You can go to home depot and get scrap wood. just measure the base of your tv.

I built stands for my TV out of encylopedias! They work brilliantly, were free, and arent too ugly(i covered them with black cloth)! I had to raise my tv ~8 inches to fit my CSi5.

Head over to my gallery OP, I added some pics of my solution for you. Let me know if you want the specs. I am moving, so my living room is messy, pardon me!

It is simple, and I live in an apartment until next month! But I built mine outside on the sidewalk, and spray painted it with matte black paint. By the way, it has no back on it. One piece of ply wood for the top, three 2x4's for supports and sides, and a spare piece of molding for the front. Wa-la.
