I believe it's the Agent Dakota Whitney Files thing. I haven't used it, but I guess you can solve cases with friends online.

Sorry that I can't answer your question, as my copy is still in the shrink rap... I just felt the need to make a post here and say:

THANK GOD SOMEONE ELSE LIKED THIS MOVIE!!! I literally thought my wife and I were the only people on the planet who did.

I did not like the movie at first but grew to like it on repeated viewings. I think some fans were disappointed it had the tone of a standalone episode from the tv series. People expect bigger storylines from theatrical movies.

Yes I loved it as well, really great to see Mulder and Scully again. Love the stand alone stories.

The problem is it's not X-Files. It's an episode of Millenium. They should have called in Frank Black, not Fox Mulder.

I liked the film a lot. Even though people said it didn't, it DID have "paranormal" activity within the film. I do agree however that it didn't really seem like a "big event" film, and after a long wait, people were expecting more. It felt more like a TV special. I think complaining about it not being "alien mythology" is a bit dumb though.... they said it was a monster of the week type movie from the very beginning.

That said, I still thought the film was great.

This was a great little film and under appreciated. It was great to catch up with 'old friends'. Sorry cannot help with the question as still waiting for Amazon to send it.

I have owned all of the X Files seasons on VHS and DVD and love the show. I saw this in the theater assuming that all the negative feedback was something I could safely ignore.

I was wrong.

I didn't imagine that anything X Files related could be something I wouldn't like. I more than enjoyed the final season with Robert Patrick and Annabeth Gish.

The movie starts off weak. I have never walked out of a movie, but it was a test of patience sitting through all of this. Billy Connolly is a very good comedian, but I was disappointed in his role as an actor. Duchovny just looked like he was going through the motions.

The most ludicrous thing of all was when...

[Show spoiler]Mulder rushes into a room full of evil doctors holding a wrench, and shouts for them to stop what they are doing

I desperately wanted to like this movie and I eagerly grabbed Fight the Future on blu, but I don't expect to be picking this up.

I like it too. The only reason I don't love it is because of the cheesy parts.

Anyone know if there's an Easter Egg where you can unlock naked pictures of Gillian Anderson?

My review:

Rating: *** out of *****

Six years after the X Files series ended Mulder (Duchovny) and Scully (Anderson) are back in their second big screen outing. Having previously been kicked out of the FBI, Mulder spends all of his time alone shut off from the world. His office is adorned with newspaper snippets of paranormal events along with the iconic 'I Want to Believe' flying saucer poster. Scully, now a doctor at a Christian hospital is contacted by the FBI to convince him to return and help them find a missing agent. Ok, yes, this film tanked at the box office and had pretty negative reviews. And I understand where the negativity comes from. This film has nothing at all to do with the first one. Anyone who watched the TV series knows there were two kind of episodes, the 'Mythos' episodes which dealt with the massive government conspiracy and an alien invasion, and the 'Monster of the Week' episodes which were individual stories of paranormal events. The first movie was in the Mythos camp, so it is somewhat fitting that the second one falls in the later category. However that decision clearly upset a lot of people who were expecting some sort of continuation or sequel to the first one. That said, you should consider I Want to Believe to be a better than average TV episode. With that mindset even the most casual fan while not being blown away will still enjoy watching it.

I thought it was great. With the exception of the "Bush Scene", which was absolutely horrid.

The part where they showed Bush in a frame at the FBI Headquarters building and then played the three notes from the theme song.
