I read in a news article how Bob Weinstein sat down to watch a few ideas for trailers and many of them tried to pull a "Good Shepherd" i.e. showing many of the action/intensive scenes to get people interested, when in reality, this is supposed to be a (purposely) slow moving tale of a Man and his Son in a post-apocalyptic world. Guess the article was dead on...sigh

Looks great! I loved the book and hope it stays fairly close to it.

How long has this been in the works?

I could swear I saw a trailer for this like a year ago. I was pumped...and then it faded away....got bumped back. Am I remembering correctly?

Yea you are. I remember seeing something last year about it coming out so I read the book and then never heard anything about it until recently.

this is the first time they've actually released a trailer (that i know of) since it has been in post production hell for about a year now...

I know I have seen that trailer before. Maybe here...posted by Jason.....but I feel like I saw it in the theater.

Holy hell this looks awesome. I loved the book and Garret Dillahunt is one of the villains!! I think at the very end I even saw Omar from The Wire flash onscreen, but where the hell was Duvall in all that?

That trailer looks wrong so much it isn't even funny. I loved the book but I couldn't even look at that trailer.
Does every film need a trailer that suggests it's an action flick? You don't have to insult your audience, Weinstein Co.

lol..i have to say squid, there never has been a trailer released before...are you sure you're not confusing seeing pictures that are also in the trailer or maybe reading about it?

Well...um...

...the reason I THINK I am sure is because the trailer has Garret Dillahut all dirty with a pony-tail....and I totally remember that.

I feel like I saw a trailer in the theater...got super pumped....and the following day Jason posted and I was excited. And the scene with the truck and the tunnel...I want to say I remmber that being in live action as well because it was intimidating (in a good way).
