United Kingdom Wow, too many UK releases?

I feel like i'm bombarded with blu ray wants!!

My pre-order list in amazon looks like a directory of all the movies coming out this year.. Scary!

We are happy to hear that from you. But there is no reason to create this kind of topic.

I wouldn't worry about it, he's not a moderator, and hasn't exactly got a high post count either. Perhaps he should keep his opinions to himself and not be so rude.

2nd November is a particularly release heavy day in the UK, currently got:-

Star Wars: Clone Wars
Star Trek Season 2
Star Trek TNG Movie Collection
Snow White
Wizard of Oz
Braveheart

The Star Trek TNG movie set is pushed back to the 16th.

Over the comming months my wallet is going to get a lot lighter.
Battlestar Galactica
Star Wars The Clone Wars
Heroes Season 3
STAR TREK TNG Movie set (looking at importing from the US due to an earlier release date).
Star Trek TOS Season 2
Wizard of oz.
Terminator 4 steelbook
Gladiator steelbook
Star Trek XI steelbook

Also keeping an eye out for LOTR theatrical cut. I liked both so it won't bother me and will double dip when the EE cut come out.

Thats just a few listed and there are more on my pre order list.

My list is not looking too full (got a few on pre-order) but checking this forum out has made me aware of some titles coming out!

Good job I'm getting loads of overtime in work!

And how frustrating is it that Dexter Season 3 only had 1 disc in the set that was region locked? Maddening!

I think at the moment I only have a couple of new films on pre-order (Star Trek XI and Monsters & Aliens) but that may well change very soon!

Some terrific titles coming out in the run up to Xmas. Great to see the likes of Le Mepris, Last Year At Marienbad, The Leopard, Boogie Nights, Magnolia... this list could run and run.

Although finances dictate I'll be renting rather than buying, I'm really chuffed to bits at the prospect of so many great films coming to Blu. Long may it continue.

frustrating that we have to wait two months more than the US for Braveheart.. wouldnt have been an issue if it wasnt region locked in US glad i found out though as i would have ordered it otherwise!

OMG - don't even get me started ... sorry, you're too late already!

My "must-buys" over the coming months:

Two German movies:

John Rabe
Buddenbrooks

Some classics:

The Wizard of Oz
Gone with the Wind
Sunrise

...and just about everything from the BFI's "Flipside" series, which I have come to adore ... and other Blu-ray offerings from the BFI and Eureka's Master of Cinema series

Jeez, it's going to be an expensive time ... it's beans on toast again for supper .... while watching superb movies, much better food (for the soul at least)

thank Xenu for the UK. Gremlins, Hamburger Hill, The Deer Hunter, and Boogie Nights have all been announced and I'm assuming they'll be region-free. Four of my favorite movies ever and they dont even have US release dates yet.
