God of war colletion -- sales predictions????

I predict GOW Collection will sell over 1 million copies 1st week.

I think the high demand for these games in HD coupled with the fact that the God of War III Demo voucher will be in there allowing the people who buy the collection the 1st crack at the demo before everyone else, is going to push this game's sales through the roof.

Without the demo voucher I think it would still sell great, but with the voucher I think it passes 1 million copies sold.

What about you guys?

idk, a lot of people have both 1 and 2 already. im sure it will sell really well but imnot sure it'll hit 1 mill in 1 week.

A lot of people don't have it in HD. In fact NOBODY does.

And not everyone has a 60GB or one with BC.

So there'll be a lot of people wanting it. PLUS the early chance to play the God Of War III demo, which is probably the most desired demo to come out in a long time.

When I came over to Ps3 I wanted to play God of war 1 and 2 before the new one comes out.Since I had a slim I thought it wasnt going to happen,Then this announcment was made I sure will be picking it up .

This puts me in an odd position since I feel that Sony really did have to do something about the first two games before they released God of War 3, but a million in two weeks is just plain silly. That's higher than Killzone 2 in the U.S., for example. God of War 2 sold 833k in its first two weeks, and that's when nobody had played it yet and for a system with a 100+ million install base. $40 is a lot for a demo voucher and some really tough trophies... we'll see, I guess. It also depends on if some other territory puts the demo up for free, like what happened with Killzone 2 (although I would hope Sony has this straightened out).

Well Japan will get the demo 1st via the voucher in inFAMOUS. But the demo probably won't show up until December.

So I think MANY people will look at it and say "hmm...God of War 1 & 2 on the PS3 with HD graphics? Plus trophies? FOR 40 BUCKS?!?!?!

And throw in the God of War III Demo, and I think that there will be MANY MANY MANY people rushing to get this game.

Two games + the GOW3 Demo for less than the price of 1.

I think many will grab it.

Killzone 2 also was what? 50-60 bucks + tax?

God of War only sold like 3 million copies*. You guys really think that a remake is going to sell 1/3rd of that?

I think it'll be lucky to top 250K.

*Estimating because when God of War went to platinum hits Sony's announcement said it had sold 2.5 million copies, nearly a year after the release. Maybe that was US only but I don't think so.

i'm really glad they're doing this because my ps3 60 gig died and i had to buy a slim.

this is great news. at least they're bringing these two great ps2 games and making them compatible with the ps3's that do not have BC
