There are so many crappy direct-to-video sequels now, its impossible to keep up with them all.

I'd add transformers 2, and all the sequels after the original Land Before Time, and just about any direct-to-video disney sequel.

Well...why??

Most of them are either intentional made-for-TV-series pilots (like Jerk Too and Omen IV), thought a TV movie or DTV was cheap enough territory to safely clean up an "unwanted" project out of limbo, like Home Alone 4 and Birds II, or thought they already HAD a direct-video "series", like the Darkmans, Skulls and Lands Before Time.
Of which most of the incompetence can be anticlimactically explained by not having a single member of the cast, writer or crew return to make it.

C'mon, if you're going to do a "Forgotten/Ruined sequels" thread, at least have the decency to delve into some that showed on actual screens!
(Looking at them on a mixed list, I'd have sworn "Halloween: Resurrection" and "Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows" might've had Direct-video written all over them, but no, at some point real audiences were asked to pay ten dollars for them!)

That wasn't the point of the thread. The point was to come up with sequels that were made that you didn't think anyone else knew about. That is why I chose to use only straight-to-video sequels and made-for-TV sequels for my list.

Well...why not try to find some sequels (...REAL ones ) that nobody else knew about, for a little mental exercise, before all the reflex-posting dopes turn it into another boring old "Worst sequel" discussion of Jaws:tR and 2010?

(For example, I knew there was a "Butch & Sundance: the Early Years", but I didn't think anyone else did--I've gone into the odd "The Sting II" defense on earlier occasions, and I assume most are aware of "Caddyshack II"'s existence, but not "Weekend at Bernie's 2".)
