Exclamation Are there Two different Orig. Star Trek film boxed sets?

I bought off ebay, the 6 film classic Trek cast films in white boxed set, w/ lenticular front w/ Enterprise w/ clear slip sleeve w/ graphics. I was shocked no former featurettes were ported over from the 2 disc SE/Direct. cut versions! It simply has Play, setup, special features(each film has 5 new), scene selection and previews.
4 of the 5 features per film I'd never seen before, and a new audio commentary.
I've had 2 people tell me, there SHOULD be ALL of the older featurettes except text commentaries ported over.
The pkging is exact, english, no clue if this was a non-USA release.
Anyone? Did I get a variation? Mine has 7 discs, w/ the bonus being the captain's summit. Slim cases w/ a different image of a different character on the front. I know what knock-off dvd's look like and these are not odd, poorly produced or manufactured. They look 100% Paramount legit.
Brad new, shrink wrapped, foldover back cover.
They play great!

Did you perhaps only check out the first disc/film in the set? "The Motion Picture" BD is missing most of its special features from the 2-disc DVD release, however the other five films do carry over almost all of their original extras....

Star Trek: The Motion Picture has a large bulk of new extras because it is the first time since the VHS and VideoCD releases that the original theatrical version of the film was released to home video. The 11 deleted scenes from the 1983 version are on the BD along with the storyboards & trailers/TV spots.

The commentary from the Director's Edition focuses on the director's cut of the film so the comments would be out of place.

Redirecting The Future is a featurette that discusses the making of the director's cut so again it would not match the cut included on the Blu-ray.

Phase II and A Bold New Enterprise could have made the transition from DVD to BD but Paramount is more than likely going to hold that off for the release of the director's edition on BD.

The only missing promotional item is a TV spot for Enterprise but I doubt that's even relevant or necessary now.

Paramount has plans to eventually release the director's edition of the film that Robert Wise personally supervised for a 2001 rleease. It is unknown if the missing extras from the 2001 two-disc DVD will be included on that re-release.

Default I've checked ALL 7 discs..

And NONE of them have the older featurettes ported over. Each film only has 5 new featurettes/commentaries. The menu's are simple, limited and easy to read. Believe me, I've usedd the right/left/up/down arrows on my remote, and anything else I can think of. No hidden eggs, icons, nothing.

Did you accidentally get the DVD version of the box set, and not the BD version, and you haven't noticed it? I'm not trying to insult you with this suggestion, as the two boxes do look rather similar (though the BD one is shorter), but this sounds like a very real possibility.....the DVD version did not carry over any of the special features from the previously released 2-disc DVD sets and only has the new special features, while the BD set has the new special features plus most all of the previous ones (aside from The Motion Picture as we have mentioned).....

I am impressed with Trekofile's honestly about realizing the format error....

I would have been like.. "Yup it's BD. Damn it!! Now I have to go file a complaint with eBay. Thanks for the help everyone", then quickly walked away from this...
