After buying one for my parents a few months back for a little over $1,500 and change I finally bought one for myself. After using the break-in DVD and using D-Nice's calibration settings, the picture looks awesome so I had to have one for my home before they are all gone. Purchased the plasma over at Sam's Club auctions for $1,051. After wathing the auction throughout the week they all have been selling for a little over $1,300. You have to be a member to make a purchase on their site. You can sign up for a membership and also cancel it and get your money back if you do not wish to continue with the membership. Total breakdown of purchase:
Cost of the plasma: $1051 Shipping: $186.23 Tax: $74.23 Total: $1,311.46 The auctions can be found here. Last edited by online365daysayear; 11-25-2009 at 02:15 PM. |

Sam's has been auctioning off these for a good while. If you are patient you can get a good deal on one. $1300 is pretty good since the only other comparable quality TV that can be had around that price would be a Panasonic G10 or G15 and I'd take the 5010FD over either of those personally.

I haven't seen one tv that comes anywhere close to the level of blacks that these baby's can put out. To me, these are, hands down, the best TVs available. Damn, I need one bad. |
