Default Just bought a Pioneer 50" Kuro PDP5010FD

After buying one for my parents a few months back for a little over $1,500 and change I finally bought one for myself. After using the break-in DVD and using D-Nice's calibration settings, the picture looks awesome so I had to have one for my home before they are all gone. Purchased the plasma over at Sam's Club auctions for $1,051. After wathing the auction throughout the week they all have been selling for a little over $1,300. You have to be a member to make a purchase on their site. You can sign up for a membership and also cancel it and get your money back if you do not wish to continue with the membership. Total breakdown of purchase:

Cost of the plasma: $1051
Shipping: $186.23
Tax: $74.23

Total: $1,311.46

The auctions can be found here.

Are these Kuros brand new in box? Or are they refurbished?

Very interested in these.

Sam's has been auctioning off these for a good while. If you are patient you can get a good deal on one. $1300 is pretty good since the only other comparable quality TV that can be had around that price would be a Panasonic G10 or G15 and I'd take the 5010FD over either of those personally.

These are brand new in the box. My parents bought the last one in the store and they said they were auctioning the rest of them off.

Nice.

I haven't seen one tv that comes anywhere close to the level of blacks that these baby's can put out.

To me, these are, hands down, the best TVs available.

Damn, I need one bad.
