Default No BD Release for White Collar, Season 2

Quote:
We reported back in September that Amazon.com had begun taking advance orders for a DVD release of White Collar - Season 2, even though Fox Home Entertainment had not formally announced the title at that time. Now Fox has made it official at last! They are showing that this set, costing $49.98 SRP, will be available on June 7th. Bonus material on this set includes: "a spotlight on fan-favorite Mozzie, behind-the-scenes with Matt Bomer, 'White Collar Roasts Burn Notice,' 'Burn Notice Roasts White Collar' and a hilarious gag reel". Package art can be seen below.

Note that there is ONLY a DVD format release this time around; there will not be a high-def Blu-ray Disc version like there was for the first season of this show. Although Fox hasn't provided an official reason for this decision, we've heard through the grapevine that sales of the Blu version for season one were drastically below expectations. If that's the case, then it's clear the studio could not justify producing the new season in the high-def format, especially since BD versions cost more to produce in the first place.
