Default Panasonic PX75.. Burn in?

Ive been watching our new family room TV (42" pana 75 series) and after about 20 minutes of 480i(HDMI arrives tomorrow ) i can see lines already.. is this just because the tv is new or am i already experiencing burn-in? if so this is unbelievable.. anyone have any input or maybe experienced this and it goes away after awhile?

Default Possible, I suppose... but not likely

You should watch nothing but full screen content the first 200hrs you use your Plasma display. I personally recommend the break-in DVD you can download off of the AVS forums. Luckily you're TV should still fall in the return period if you bought your TV from a big box retailer. If you got it online I couldn't say for sure what you should do. Watch nothing but full screen content for a day or two and see if the image retention goes away.

Honestly, if your that concerned - get an LCD.

We have 2 plasmas in the house. One is used with an XBOX. No issues at all. One is used for tv viewing. When it was first new, there were signs of "burn-in" but those faded in a few minutes. Now, burn in not a problem. There may be residual images on the screen, but all tv's do that - even CRT's. They clear out after a while. No problems.

Xbox one is a Panasonic, TV one is a Samsung. Both 42"
