Default Maybe I should just burn my $$

After the summer slow period, these next few months are going to hit the wallet like Shaq attacks the rim (or at least, how he used to in younger days). I have plans to buy 1 or more in every week coming up:

September 25, 2007
- Memoirs of a Geisha
- Underworld

October 02, 2007
- FF: RotSS
- Bram Stoker's Dracula (regardless of Bracke's review)
- maybe on Evil Dead II & Halloween

October 09, 2007
- 28 Days Later
- 28 Weeks Later
- Edward Scissorhands
- and maybe more

October 23, 2007
- at least 4 of the Kubrick movies

And guess what... THEN the blockbusters start coming!

Yeah my credit cards are going to get a work out in Q4 2007. The studios could still sneak in a few catalog titles that haven't been announced yet. I'm planning on spending at least $400 on Blu-ray's before this year ends.

Wow, in two days you have managed to buy what has taken me almost a year to put together! I gotta find a new job.

As I am a big time horror movie buff, the next few weeks are sure to cripple may wallet (again) as well.

I've got my list printed out and there's a ton of BLUs on it.

I can't imagine buying all this stuff with credit cards. OUCH!

Next up:

1. Memoirs of a Geisha (Finally)
2. Black Book
3. Gods & Generals
4. FF (maybe)
5. Dracula (maybe)
6. Day after Tomorrow (still coming?)
7. 28 Days
8. 28 Weeks
9. Robocop

and on and on

Hehe, I'm in the same boat I guess. Just counted up my pre-orders. I have 18 titles ordered at Amazon and 5 titles ordered from Warner. I still have some stuff to order also. Off the top of my head, I'll be adding Pirates 3, Close Encounters, the Die Hard set, and a few other Fox titles not up for pre-order yet like From Hell. I'm guessing 30 titles by the end of the year. That will bring my total collection up to about 150 BD's. Definitly getting to be expensive, but Blu is worth it

i just preorded a block of about 7 movies from Amazon. I really shouldnt have. first time ever i broke my 'will not buy anything over 20 dollars rule' too. i just dont care anymore. i love blu too much.

on a related note, i also love going to place an order at Amazon and because of their 'lower price' policy, finding credit waiting for me to apply to an order.

I'm a trying to whittle down from 40'ish titles - I stopped buying DVD's about a about a year and a 1/2 ago in anticipation of not double dipping - except for the sort of things that will likely never make it to HDM.

So you'll garner no sympathy here.

As I saw the story of your purchase in the other thread, I must say I am impressed. Namaste to you. And a 65" plasma. Namaste again.
