Default DirecTV DVR/PS3 question...

I am wondering... I want to order the DirecTV HD/DVR receiver. I have a Samsung HLT5687s and my PS3. So far, that only High-Def things that I have been able to enjoy are my Blu-ray Movie's, and my PS3 games. What I am wondering is if I should order the DVR from DirecTV, and if there is a way for me to transfer the Saved Shows/Programs from the DVR to my PS3 or to my Dell Inspiron laptop. I know they are coming out with PlayTV for the PS3, but I live in America, and there is no imminent release date for it out here. I need to know if I can transfer stuff over from the DVR from DirecTV to my PS3 or laptop. Thanks!

I have a DirecTV HD DVR (HR20) and a PS3...As of right now, I have not found a way to get anything off the HR20 to another device...The HR20 supports DLNA, so you can stream music and photos to it from another DLNA device (i.e. Windows Media Center 11 is what I'm using to get music to both my HR20 upstairs, and my PS3 downstairs).

I have an older DirecTivo that was hacked, there is tons of information out on the Internet on how to hack one of those, but that is only SD programming.

I'm keeping my eyes open for a way to do this, but as of now, I have not found anything...

The HR20 only connects with intel viiv technology. I have HR20 but I dont need its networking capabilities.

Common misconception with the device...I have an AMD Atlhon x64 and it's talking to my HR20....So Intel Procs are not required....Just needs to be DLNA Aware.
