What is Folding@Home? I saw this referenced several times in another thread. I have a PS3 but have never heard of Folding@Home? What the heck does that mean?

And when folks sign up to do folding, please sign up to be part of team 56895 (the Blu-ray team). We're already up to 244th place of 84682 teams. We need to get up into the top 100 to show that Blu-ray fans care and contribute. Believe me, it's painless.
