Default What if Blu supporters buy and scrap the HD-A2s?

What if we all BD owners buy the crap A2 in the area where Toshi* players were on sale & dump them . And at the same time buy a BD movie (a Warner one).
That'd be a great way to counter M$, Universal & Tosh*t aggression! as CNBC is already claiming the duds are victorious.
I'd be more than happy to do it if you guys agree!
Let the World feel the Blu!

I resent them as well, but just to burn one would be nice though.

I find the idea of buying an HD DVD player abhorrent. The thought makes me vomit in my mouth....anyway back from drama class, I wouldn't buy even to smash one to pieces I would rather see them sit on store shelves and collect dust or in the "defectives" cart at Wal-Mart because the person who bought it couldn't get their brand new shiny Pirates of the Carrabean: At World's End Blu-ray to play in it.

its a 7 minute walk to walmart from our place. I considered going and getting one of the hd dvd players tomorrow for the purpose of taping its torture and destruction. I was going to try and set up some paypal thingy to cover some of the expenses. but I was going to beat the crap out of it. taking all kinds of powertool, hand tools, electricity, fire, anything and everything. i'm a sick individual. and i'd love it. but....i'd still have to buy the damn thing. eewww.

You know...I would pay money to see that. Hell I look at UFC and Boxing matches, why not look at HD DVD player executions.

there is no right way to deal with the $98 HD-DVD player, if we buy it it'll move us 1 step closer to being format neutral (which Toshiba wants), it would prevent 1 more non HDM person from embracing HD-DVD, if we don't buy the HD-DVD players HD-DVD gets more sales... scary idea...

or those Players still sit on the shelf....the point is the electronics area of Walmart has all kinds of DVD players this is just like any other DVD player to most people that shop at Walmart . the majority of people that are going to pick up this player of the current install base of fans of HD DVD and they are going to give them away as gifts for family.

that is they may also buy some of the HD DVD movies also to give as part of the gift which i see as certain. Now this may seem on the surface a problem because it may lure Warner Bros. to keep supporting Both formats and that is exactly what The HD DVD promotional group needs to Happen thats all they need to happen to pull a win. Even if Warner Bros. does not go exclusive They still get to stay in the game its all about getting to KEEP IHD around.

the problem with that is Warner Bros. knows that if they cannot generate enough Movie sales for Warner Bros. Movies on HD DVD this 4th Q: the head office wants them to make a choice and that choice of course would be Blu-Ray.

so how can you make them fail instead of buying that $98.00 HD DVD player buy Warner Bros. Blu-Ray movies with the same $98.00 by doing that its sure enough to show that Blu-Ray is the way to go for Warner and HD DVD will Fail sooner than later.

I'd rather buy BDs. There are more BDs that I want, but unfulfilled because of not enough money

I would take one if they gave it to me free. First I'd rent transformers on HD-DVD, then I'd watch it, then I'd take the player outside and see how many firecrackers I could load into it.

no its childish , if you want to buy a player and smash then why don't you just take your money and burn it instead its equally a waste of money.

if you wanted to do something for blu ray buy some movies with you $98 instead.
