Default Reasons why BD will continue to drop prices

1. They are still competing as a niche market against the DVD giant.
2. As technology gets better older units must sell for less.
3. It will become cheaper for both movies and players to be produced.
4. Retail companies ALWAYS have sales and BOGOS.
5. Toshiba and Microsoft will turn to BD and begin selling them.
6. Sony isn't the only company that sells BD players and movies, therefore competition exists for cheaper players to be made and sold.
7. DVD started out at the insane $1000 stupidity for a regular player, then came the $1000 DVD recorders, Then came the $1000 upconvert recorders. New technology is always like this. Look at computers and how expensive they are to get the best of the best. I paid $3500 for a computer that is nearing obsolecence now.
