Magnolia Pictures will be releasing Thelma (2024) on Blu-ray tentatively on October 8th. I loved this movie, and consider it one of my favorites of the year so far. June Squibb (who's 94 in real life!) and the late great Richard Roundtree, in his final performance, are so great together in this.

I don’t buy many Blus anymore ‘cause there have been far too many subsequent 4K releases 6-13 months later but for this movie, I’ll double- and triple-dip. Absolutely fantastic.

Loved this movie. It beautifully juggles warmth, humor, sincerity, and sadness.

Magnolia is on a winning streak lately with both Thelma and What You Wish For. Can't wait to add both to the blu-ray collection.

I hope there's at least an interview with the writer/director/editor. Really good film.

We saw it today and it turned out to be an open captions screening, so I look forward to revisiting the film on Blu-ray sans the open captions.

I'm a little concerned that only Amazon seems to have listings for the Blu-ray. Several other retailers have the movie up, but only on DVD. Really hope Magnolia didn't cancel the BD

It does have its own UPC and everything, so it was for sure planned at one time. Still hoping to see other listings pop up for it.

Some of their older titles did, I have slips on Eyes Of My Mother, Monsters, and Hobo With A Shotgun to name a few.

I'd almost guarantee this won't, the last one I recall was Marrowbone several years ago.
