Shrek 1 was great, although it's so hard to know what I really think of it anymore as I've seen it way too many times to count. Shrek 2 is easily my favourite. It's the funniest, and most exciting and entertaining. I love it.

Shrek the Third was just awful. 'Nuff said.

I didn't see the third one, but the first was best, the second was fairly good, I haven't bothered with the third, seems like they have gone downhill... I hope they don't follow through with the fourth one.

The original. The second one is the best of the sequels but has relied way too much on pop culture references compared to the original and appealed far more to kids.
