Default I got a problem with my TV

I have some blue lines on my screen, a Sony rear-projection LCD TV, model KF-E42A10. It's not windex, I use Monster Screen Cleaner, is it the LCD screen or the lamp?

Help me please.

Here's a pic

I think it is the Blue lcd (there are 3 lcd in the tv), NO it is not the lamp. The light engine will mostliky need to be replaced, that is about $1k.

You have a warranty??? if not time for a new tv, sorry... but at lease you can go bigger & get 1080p tv

It's your optical block. Check these sites for more information. Sony has extended the warranty on some models. The second link is specific to my TV, so you will have to search for your own. Hope this helps.

Were you spraying the screen cleaner right onto the screen or onto the rag then wiping the tv clean??? I have seen pictures of tvs ruined cause of screen cleaner and the pictures look a lot like the one you have...chemicals over time are going to wear down the screen over time...hopefully whatever it is is covered under warranty!!!

I used to have a KDF-E42A10... in fact, I just sold it to upgrade to a KDS-60A3000.

This looks like something majorly screwed up with the circuitry or piece of the blue projection.

mistake #1 over spraying the screen ( twice a day, everyday ) Those R-PRO LCD's don't do well over time. Well if No warranty(I hope you do) then get a badass flat panel, or DLP or whatever .
