Lebowski- damn right its on there.

I was glad to see LOTR Fellowship higher than the other two. I have always felt, personally, that it was the best of the three despite being rated lower on sites like IMDB.

I see where you are confused this list contains actual movies with plots and stories and acting not massive amounts CGI and gun fire and explosions that pass for a movie today

Umm... Really....? I guess my interests in movies like Crash, Batman begin or The prestige doesn't count as actual movies with "plot and stories and acting", huh? Get off your high horse. Just because I don't like some of those movie on the list doesn't mean I don't enjoy movies with great storyline.

That list stinks. No Gladiator, No Braveheart, nor Amadeus in the top 50?!

I can't really see "Old-timers" ranking The Dark Knight that high, or The Big Lebowski or Evil Dead 2 for that matter.

That maybe one of the most ignorant things to say. Do not insult other people's taste in movies. It makes you look foolish, not them. Jaws had more of a cultural impact. It was the first real summer blockbuster.
