Default HDCP Help

Ok, I searched the forums long and hard and found nothing quite like this.

Yes, I am having an HDCP problem. Bluray advisor shows everything is fine except my connection (digital without HDCP). Here's the problem, the cable I have (DVI to HDMI) is labled as HDCP compliant. I googled around, and sure enough, single channel DVI to HDMI cables should be fine.

My receiver is also compliant (and to double check, I went straight to the TV and still got the error). Of course power dvd will not play anything.

So, as it stands, I have an HDCP compliant drive, video card, operating system, cable, receiver, and TV... and I can't play blu ray movies.

"The program in which we do not speak" works, but I paid all this money for a new system, and I'd rather not have to use it (though I have to say, I refuse to fill bad for any industry that makes their customers jump through flaming hoops).

Any suggestions? Is there anything else which would cause the video connection light to flare red.

Thanks!
John

PS: I have turned dual monitor mode off as well, so none of that.
