Default Sony Vaio Blu-ray Player update issue

Hi,

Just rented a new blu-ray movie to watch tonight thinking I could use my Sony Vaio AR51M with a Matshita UJ220B blu ray player to watch the movie as I have before without any problems.

I'm trying to use Win DVD8 BD for Vaio software to play the move connecting to my Toshiba 1080p lcd tv.

When I try to play the Blu ray disc I get an error message saying your player needs an update before it can play this movie.

I run the vaio update and can see a firmware update from Sony for the blu ray player. I run the update which downloads and begins to install, the firmware update utility requested the tray to be ejected while the update is carried out but then it just errors out saying 'Download Error (13)' and then all I can do is exit.

Anyone comes across this before? Any ideas what I can do?

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers
Al

Make sure the disc isnt in the tray, and try the update again.

Can you download and save the file first then run it?
Yes, the tray has to be ejected to flash it.
