Default Sony Vaio to LG tv sound issue...

Hey, I'm running my Sony Vaio laptop through my LG LCD tv. Everything is fine on blu-ray, but when I try to watch videos online through there the soun works for a few minutes, and then stops. Anyone know why???

Thanks for any help!

Ok, next step, I need more info. How are you playing back the sound? Laptop speakers or receiver? If receiver, I would need to know exactly how it is hooked up. Sorry I can't answer this right out of the box.

No, its ok. I appreciate your help. I'll try to describe this properly. I have my HDMI cable hooked into my LCD TV. all sound is coming out of the TV speakers tself. I don't have any special receiver or surround sound system.

Ok, can you hook up the spdif out from the laptop to the tv and set the tv to that audio input? Also, make sure the soundcard settings are set up so all the decoding is done at the laptop, ie, not set to bitstream. See if it works from the spdif out.
Finally, if that doesn't work, turn off the computer and the tv and unpug the hdmi cable. Then turn them both on and wait for the computer to boot. Plug the hdmi cable into the computer and then the tv. This should take care of any "handshake" issues you might be encountering. Thanks,
