Default San Diego cats - where do you get your BDs?

i can't expect to many responses to this as i only know a lot of you are from eu or rotw (to use music contract lingo). i know of a few sd people on here and was wondering where you get your bds from? b&m that is. just looking for some local places to check out or avoid. other socal people i'd be interested in hearing from as well.

i usually hit up frys off aero dr. but i have bought a couple bds at CC in carmel mtn. or BB in mira mesa. i will usually avoid those as the selection is anorexic like an olson twin and overpriced like a (in the interest of keeping this clean i won't finish that.

do music traders or gamestops carry many blurays?

i mostly shop online, but sometimes a physical store will have some decent deals on par with the virtual ones.

I get mine at fry's over by aero drive most of the time.
Other than that...I used to get 'em at BB in mission valley, but they are way too expensive; and online.

Either the Fry's by the Q or the one in San Marcos, sometimes the BB on Mira Mesa when I want it now, otherwise it's pretty much all online.

Not sure about the record traders and the like, but you can check Lou's Records...they carry used DVDs and LDs so they may have some HD content. Haven't been there in a while.

I've been on jury duty downtown for the past month. But the long lunch time has afforded me the opportunity to visit Sam Goody in Horton Plaza. They have a collection of used BDs if you wanted to go that route. Also, as of a couple of weeks ago, they were having a buy 2 get one free sale for new and/or used BDs.

I've also seen BDs at Target in Poway, but to be honest I have bought my entire collection online cause I'm a cheap bastard!

Damn, there are lots of San Diegans here! Cheerio, all!

I was thinking the same thing. We can start our own club here in SD.

I bought from BB in Mira Mesa a long time back when they had a buy one, get one free special going. Then they jacked up their prices so I don't go there.

I have been to Fry's on Aero for the buy 2 get 1 free specials. Big hassle.

I went to Circuit City when they went out of business. So-so prices.

The rest I picked up on the internet. Best deals I have found outside the 1 for 1 at BB. Keep checking the hot deals area for info.

I have been waiting for Target to start playing ball with competitive prices but they still aren't that good and the selection is very meager. Walmart I tried once and have not been back.

there are a few more san diego people than I expected. provenflipper hasn't even signed in yet. that frys is san marcos is a trip. I stop by whenever i'm that far north to check out the fish tanks at least. I live in poway i've seen the prices at that target, shame on target, and the walmart is crap. its ps3 area is literally an end cap that i've seen 2 bds in. both overpriced. I had jury duty not to long ago, I should have looked through sam goody a little better.

wonder how many of you i've b.s.ed with at frys while cruising the bluray section.

I stopped in at BB again today for something else. I stopped by the Blu racks and have to say, they have a good selection of movies but the prices really suck. They had only one more copy of Springsteen out.

35 bucks for a film? No thanks.

Here I am! Usually I buy mine at Fry's in San Marcos, but if I don't feel like driving out there, I price match Costco.com/Frys.com at Circuit City in Vista. I've bought pretty much all of my BDs at B&M retailers with the exception of about five, and I'm over 140 now.

Depends on the retailer. Usually has to be a B&M store and a local one at that (within county lines).

They know you're not going to burn $20 in gasoline to save $5 on a disc cheaper in LA.

circuitcity (Vista) is so lax on their price matching policy, they price match just about anyone.
