Default Replace Sony HT-DDWG700 Speakers?

Wasn't sure if this belonged here or in the "Speakers" forum, but thought it fit best here.

I'm just wondering if the speakers that came with this system are replaceable by better speakers? I'm wanting to upgrade the entire system but want to do it little by little starting with the front speakers and center channel. I couldn't find anything in the manual (or online for that matter) on whether the included speakers can be replaced by better speakers or if there is some form of limitation.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

First on the back of the receiver, can you connect a bare wire so you are ok there. There is no way of setting up a subwoofer with this receiver tho.

Also, in your owners manual or on the back of the speakers, what is the impedence of the speakers, it should say impedence or ohms followed or preceded by either a 3, 4, 6, 8.

Yes I can connect a bare wire. I'm ok with sticking with this subwoofer for now. I can replace it when I replace the receiver.

The impedance is 6 ohms. Does this mean I can only replace the speakers with other 6ohm speakers? Is that a good impedance for when I upgrade the receiver in the future?

Default Speakers

Any speakers rated at 6 - 8 ohms should do nicely. I personally would try for as close to 8 ohms as possible since you will be upgrading your receiver soon, as most receivers are rated for 8 ohm speakers.
