I have been holding off on buying 300 on blu ray because I assume that they will re-release it in better quality with more extras before Watchmen comes out in March.

I don't know, 300 just seems like the kind of film that would have a "special edition"

Any thoughts?

Also, in regards to demanding that the mods close this thread, I suggest that you calm down a little bit. It is just a message board. If a thread is created with information that is already available and it, for some reason, angers you, then don't respond and let the thread die.

What a jerk. I'm also waiting for the re-release of 300. This is why I usually don't buy movies when they first come out (A better version will be released in the following year or so)

I was referring to Bases1616. Anyways, I hope the re-release of 300 will be similar to the dvd version (Unrated). The current blu-ray version lacks additional scenes that the dvd version has. And I also hope it'll have less film grain.

Yeah, I was so close to buying it today at Fry's for $19.99 but I will totally pay more for a special edition with more features. I am a special feature junkie. Especially with movies as visually stunning as 300.

I dont understand you people. You hold off and deprive yourself of owning and enjoying a movie that you like because a special edition with a couple extra features might become available.

There is going to be a special edition of 300. It's already been planned. I wish I would have waited as it will most likely have better PQ and AQ.

Oh and BTW bases1616 is one of the biggest jerks on this site, but there are many more so be warned.

that aside, yes as everyone has pointed out, there is a LE version of 300 coming to bluray sometime in 2009. the 3-disc dvd set is coming out nov 18

Because if I am going to spend the money on a movie I want to get the best possible picture with the most special features that is available.
