Default Local electronics store calibration!

I live in small coastal town in Oregon. The closest ISF certified calibration specialist is right here in my town. The next closest is 100 miles away and they wont travel. The local store offered to calibrate my tv for 200 dollars. I know its a good price. My problem is that as I have dealt with these people before, I know that they are not the sharpest tools in the shed. Im worried that they wont do a proper job. Ive never seen a calibration done and dont know exactly what it in tells. As they are a local store, I cant really go online and check there reviews. Has anyone else had a similar predicament?

Don't let em touch your set!

Only allow ISF certified technicians do that. Chances are pretty good that the electronics store doesn't have anyone who is ISF certified. Some do though, so you might want to check into it first. Ask around to find other people who have had it done, don't ask the sales clerks as they might lie.

The store in question came up through a search at the ISF website. The website says that they are certified. They just dont seem very smart and after reading a post earlier about how an ISF calibrator screwed up a guys tv, Im very weary.

Ive done the setting that other people have posted, and it looks good. I know that every display is a little different and I believe it can look a whole lot better. I got some decisions to make, lol. Thanks for the input though.
