Default Panasonic BD10 audio issue

So I got the BD10 and I am very happy with it, the picture is great and the audio is great.

I upgraded it from FW 1.0 to 2.0 (2.0 is all they had out there now)

I have it hooked up to a sony amp (7.1 sound, model # escapes me) however if I put it on either one of the coax ports or an optical when there is something really loud like a helecopter (Swordfish) or like cymbal crashes (chicago) the amp says unlock and it cuts in and out. (Problem happened with both FW versions)

I have tried most all settings and the only way it decodes the 7.1 is in bitstream mode on the panasonic, and I have played with just about every setting in audio to see if it fixes it, swaped out all cables and same thing. I can reporduce it at the exact same times on the discs also.

If I come out of the analog ports to the sony's multi-ins the problem doesn't exist, however to me it doesn't sound as good. When it is working on the digital side the sound is incredible.

Regular dvd player does not have the issue

Any suggestions?? going to call panasonic tomorrow.

Thanks for any pointers
