If I understand you correctly, your second sub comes down to a choice between the Klipsch and the Velodyne. What kind of sub is your existing one? From what I understand from the experts here, it's a good idea for the two subs to be the same to get a better match sound-wise.

Have you at all considered the AA HD-10 or 12 subs? They are less than those 2 subs and they have better low frequency response too. Seems like a win/win when compared with those 2......

It is a bit more expensive than those, but I would look at the eD A2-300 ($350 shipped) in that price range.

If the choice is between Klipsch and Velodyne, I would pick the Velodyne.

I purchased the Polk RM6880 speaker set, which included a subwoofer. It's not a great subwoofer, but it has been leaving me wanting more bass and I've decided I am going to pull the trigger soon.

Polk does not make that subwoofer separately other than in that package, so I don't have much of a chance to match it, unless I buy another whole set, which is difficult to find because it has been discontinued anyways.

I also am trying not to get a killer woofer too soon, because then I would have to upgrade my other speakers and avr to keep up with them. I guess my long range plan is to get a second subwoofer now for some more kick, than save up for a while to improve my other speakers and avr. Then finally buy another subwoofer to really deliver. (If the wife doesn't stop me)

Default well

Ended up ordering a Polk PSW505 from newegg for $249.99 shipped . I know Polk Subwoofers are not the top of the line, but this one for that price seemed liked a no brainer. Thanks for your help anyways fellas.
