For me it would come down to the Samsung or the Sony. I like the XBRs, but are you going to be getting anything more then what the B640 is gonna give you? If there are features that you get from one and not the other that you NEED, then get that one, otherwise go for which ever is the better deal cause both are great LCDs.

Forget the Toshiba. Between the Sony and the Sammy I'd say the Sammy since its the newer model. The B600 series are some of the best non-LED LCD's this year. Black level is excellent and the uniformity is very good. I wasn't a big fan of the XBR6 and XBR7 sets myself.

I have actually have had both the TV. The samsung did have amazing black level for a LCD, but the picture on the sony is better. I spend some time adjusting the sony and now it looks excellent and black level are on par with my samsung.

Well the reason i picked these three is cause all are priced at $1000 or less and cause of the 120hz feature but do i really need 120hz tho

What are you going to use it for? Either case go Samsung, they have outdone Sony.

In some cases the 120Hz-240Hz refresh rates actually makes things worse looking (Soap Opera effect), the only LCD that I know of that doesn't have any side effects in using the 240Hz processing is the Samsung B750 Series, there expensive though! The Samsung B750 Series has excellent dejudder processing as well as excellent motion blurr technology, you can set the Motion Blurr 1-10 and the Judder Reduction 1-10. I set my Motion Blurr to 10 and Judder Reduction to 3 because it's more film like and less of a video look to it.

The Samsung's before the B750 Series didn't have separate adjustments for Motion Blurr or Judder Reduction, you either have it turned on or you don't which is why I stated in some cases the 120Hz-240Hz refresh rates actually makes things worse. The Cnet review is spot on > http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-t...?tag=mncol;lst
