Default IF there was an inFamous movie...

I think Cole should be played by Jason Statham of the Trasporter movies. I'm on the second island and I am loving the game.

Jason has the bald look and gruff voice of cole, and he could definitly handle the stunts and fighting. man it would be so cool to see a superhero on the big screen with lightening based attacks. ( I happen to play a electric hero in a table top champions game, and yes I'm a nerd )

what do you guys think? (no game spoilers for those that haven't played/finished yet.) If this is in the wrong section the mods can move but I figured i'd get yelled at for putting it in the PS3 section.

I was thinking that the guy who plays Matt Parkman on heroes would be a good Zeke. Same build, just give him the sunglasses and a elvis hair style. Not sure about Trish.

Thoughts? I know it doesn't really matter but its fun to wish list movies. so join in!

I think a lot of the game designers pick a look for a main character than grabs your attention, and reminds you of someone you already are drawn to.

So perhaps they already decided for you who you think should play the part in a film?

Wrap your head around that bad boy idea

What about Trish? I can't think of any other good actresses to play her. Kessler, I know Clint Eastwood would be cool as the character.

thats a good point, they do it all the time. After all Ultimate Nick Fury was designed to look and remind you of Samuel L Jackson.

MEh, I don't think Infamous' story would be able to hold people attention who had not played the game without some significant changes (eg: characters who speak to you then aren't mentioned again may be okay in a game 'knowing' we shall see them in a sequal, but it probably wouldn't work for a movie, or the cliched finale). Plus the budget would have to be large, and how many sucesfull big budget movies based on games are there? I can only think of one, Tomb Raider.

Don't get me wrong, it works as a game as you get to free run as cole and use superhuman powers, but I cant see it working as a movie. Now Metal Gear Solid 4 is a game that could be made into a film (once again would need some significant changes but is already very close to bieng in a movie format).

It's to "big" to be a movie. You can't capture it's feel in movie form.

They said that about Do androids dream of electronic sheep as well, and whilst Blade Runner is different, it certainly capture the feel of the book.

I think InFamous would make a GREAT movie, I loved the story... Jason Statham would be a terrible choice, he can't act for crap... he reminds me of Steven Seagal(or however you spell his name) just because he acts the same in every bloody movie!

I'd agree Jason Statham would be a bad choice though he at times can act (bank job, snatch), though who he plays is not all that varied.

Yeah. In my opinion, it's not that he can't act. Those two movies mentioned prove that. He just happens to play characters that are similar in most of his movies. It's hard to judge him when a lot of his movies are just mindless action movies. I still rather enjoy his movies either way. An inFamous movie could easily work, btw. The story lends itself well to one. The story would just have to be told in a different way, that's all.

I could see Lucas Black (Cold Mountain, Jarhead) as Cole.

The book wasn't an open world game with two very distinct story lines though. Half the story in InFAMOUS was told through open world exploring as well. It's possible to do, sure, but it wouldn't be wise.

You don't have to replicate the story exactly to replicate the feel of the source material (compare the story of blade runner and do androids dream of electronic sheep, they are vastly different).
