Default Dollhouse BD - 1080/24p?

I just got my Dollhouse discs from Amazon, but my BD player and TV both report them as being 24fps. Since this is a TV show, it ought to be 30fps (or 29.97fps, etc.) Is my player outputting the wrong signal? Are the discs actually mastered at 24fps, and Fox just did a 3:2 pulldown when broadcasting?

A television show can have multiple masters in HD just like films.

For example:

Scrubs and Lost are broadcast on ABC in High-Definition at 720p from a 720p master. When Lost is re-broadcast on SyFy in HD, a 1080i master is used and then when transferred to Blu-ray Disc: a 1080p master is used.

The same goes for Scrubs. When season 8 is re-broadcast on Comedy Central HD, they will use the 1080i master and the Blu-ray Disc will use a 1080p master.

Dollhouse actually has a 720p master for use with Fox HD and HD digital downloads, a 1080i master for use when the show is sold into syndication and re-broadcasted, and a 1080p master for Blu-ray Disc.

I'm not concerned about the resolution; rather, I'm confused as to the framerate. Ought it to be 24p, or is that a problem with my setup?

I doubt there's a problem with your equipment. This was most likely filmed at 24 frames per second, which is why it's being presented that way on blu-ray.

I'm relieved, then. I was expecting 30fps (or 29.97 or 60 or 59.94) as it was created for TV broadcast. Thanks for the help.
