Default Video Static over HDMI - How To Fix?

Ok, so i have a 50 inch samsung plasma (model HP-S5053) and whenever i have it on there is static in the picture over HDMI, its really annoying. I can't seem to find a reason for it or a solution to the problem (only one thing comes up on google with no solution). I was using a cheap 10 foot HDMI form fry's and tried replacing that with a $40 monster HDMI, it didn't help. I do all of my components plugged into a power filtering power surge protectors. I also tried switching Direct Tv boxes, didn't help (other tv's don't have this problem). Tried plugging the power bar into a different plug socket on a different breaker, no help. The next thing i was going to try was upgrading the power bar to the Monster HTS 1000 with stage two cleaning. ( i currently have a power sentry for home theaters). Do you think this would help solve the problem? Or do you think its my TV. All suggestions are welcome. This problem is driving me crazy because is one of the few electronic problems i can't figure out!

Thanks for any help

Have you tried a different HDMI input on the television yet?

You should try your input sources (cable, playerr, hdmi cable...etc) with someone elses Tv. If you don't see any static then your problem is with your hdmi input on your Tv, or the entire HDMI circuitry in the TV which may affect all the ports.

you should definitly try the other ports on the TV first, if that fails then you need to take your items to another tv that has HDMI inputs so you can see if any of the input devices or hdmi cable are the cuplrits or not.

I have tried switching between the two HDMI ports and unfortunately get static on both. I switched the Direct Tv box with the one in my bed room and get no static with the box on my other Tv, same with my PS3's. I'm going to try taking the whole TV downstairs and hook it up to my parents set up and see if that helps. Any idea how much it would be Have the entire HDMI circuitry fixed if thats the problem?

Thanks for all the suggestions.
