Good for you, but we already have a thread. Use the search-function next time.

not only that, but the search function does not work much of the time for searches of titles to see if a thread has been made.
I have had 3 instances where I searched a title and nothing came up, only to find out later that there was indeed already a thread for the film I was posting about. bottom line--search can be very hit or miss on here. |

Most likely the Search "does not work" for two reasons (and I guarantee that in your case it is option A ![]() A) You are not searching properly. Proper search would be: 1.Go to Forum (main tab, upper right corner). 2. Now go to Search (which is slightly below it, between New Posts and Quick Links). 3. Click on it and go to Advanced Search. 4. On the left, under Keyword(s), type up My Son. 5. Now pull down the Search Entire Posts tab and select Search Titles Only. 6. Now, on the left, you could either highlight "Blu-ray Movies-International" or highlight a specific country. In this case, you could select Germany. 7. At the very bottom of the page, click Search Now. Voila.... The thread you are looking for will come up (if it exists). B) Your personal preferences are not set properly here: https://www.blu-ray.com/community/settings.php In your case, I know that your references are set properly. Therefore, you are not searching Blu-ray.com properly. I know this for a fact, because our developers have done a number of very specific improvements that maximize search results -- in a number of different languages. I mention all of this because each week I probably type up 15-20 different PMs to point out to people that they have to set their preferences in order to get all of the info we have in the database to show up when they search the site. Again, in your case, I know that you have done that, so read how to search the forum/site. ![]() Pro-B p.s. I will merge the threads later on. Last edited by pro-bassoonist; 08-23-2010 at 10:50 PM. |

It looks like Germany is the only country receiving this film on blu-ray. Is anybody familiar with this production company? Is this likely to be region free? Thanks in advance! |

I asked a customer service employee of the company and they responded it is region B locked.

Recieved my BD a couple of days agao and watched the movie and alle the extras on day one (including the audio commentary) and rewatched the film on the very next day.
What shall I say. Very good BD release of an AWSOME movie! "Yeah!!! That's it!!! Razzle them! Dazzle them! Razzle-dazzle them!" I've got the Canadian Blu-ray and it has some flaws. It has a hard time coping with the colour blue. Very noticable on the garage door. Some shimmering artefacts or something.
Noticed it on a couple of scenes. I bought this Canadian release cause it has English subs but they are absolutely horrible. They are for hard of hearing. They are all in capitol letters. One sentence at a time only, so they move fast. And most ridicules is that every sentence has words connected to each other , so it's hard to read and plain stupid ! I just don't get it !!? Exampe: "I cried in alaundry room for four years untilthey renovated it and used it forsomething else." |

I would not recommend it to anyone who needs English subtitles.
The transfer is not horrible, but the flaws are annoying. Don't know if the German bD has the same problem. |

Unfortunateley the German BD has no English subtitles and is Region B locked.
Other than that it is a pretty good release. Does the Canadian BD have any special features? The German one has a very good Featurette and a very good audio commentary + the German and English trailers. I did not notice any picture flaws (like the described blue problems of the Canadian) but can only check it later. |

The great thing is that the Canadian BD has "Plastic Bag" as special feature.
I hope it's in 1080P! Is the great featurette of the German BD, "Behind the Madness - The Making of My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done" also included in the Canadian BD? Has the Italian some interesting stuff? Last edited by Lope de Aguirre; 11-28-2010 at 08:35 PM. |

I did not even notice them on my two viewings and once with audio commentary. But I focused on the blue in the opening shot and on the garage and yeah seems to be the exact same problem. |
